Because grass plants are never more vulnerable than at the early establishment phase we treat most of our mixtures with no less than two quality products - HEADSTART® and Integral®. HEADSTART®, which is a combination of seaweed enzymes, natural bio-nutrients and trace elements combined with an osmotic attracter, has delivered up to 20% improvement in that all-important establishment. After several years of extensive trials we introduced Integral® last season. This product is based on a naturally occurring strain of bacteria which quickly colonises the developing root systems and provides major benefits in terms of a dramatically improved plant stand and early vigour. This, in turn, can add significant increases in the yield from your new grass/clover ley.

In the photograph, the top half of the field was drilled with Integral® / HEADSTART® treated Castlehill while the area in the foreground was drilled with untreated seed. The field, situated 800 feet above sea level, was very stressed due to cold and drought.
